L'Italie arrive en deuxième position, avec plus de 2 millions de foyers, suivie de la Suède et du Danemark, a précisé l'Institut de l'audiovisuel et des télécoms en Europe.Ces chiffres sont cependant à différencier des usages: seuls 1,6 million de foyers européens, essentiellement concentrés dans six pays, sont ainsi abonnés et donc réellement connectés.

En France, par exemple, 4,1% des foyers équipés le sont, ce qui la place loin derrière les pays scandinaves.La Suède et la Norvège dominent toujours le classement, avec un taux de pénétration respectif de 44,1% et de 65,6%.Malgré la hausse du nombre de logements équipés (+27% au deuxième semestre 2008) et de celui des abonnés (+25%), "l'Europe est toujours à la traîne derrière les Etats-Unis et le Japon" (15 millions d'abonnés), souligne l'Idate."L'élan que nous voyons dans des pays comme la France, l'Espagne et le Portugal, combiné au potentiel de l'Europe de l'Est, devrait néanmoins favoriser une augmentation des taux d'abonnement en Europe dans les prochains mois", ajoute-t-il.L'avance de la France est liée en grande partie aux investissements du câblo-opérateur Numericable, qui a équipé 3,4 millions de foyers, rappelle l'institut.

France: deux frères retrouvés 11 ans après l'enlèvement

Le père des deux adolescents, âgé de 52 ans, a été arrêté vendredi dans le village de Massat et a été écroué.

L'homme avait été condamné par défaut en 2005 à deux ans de prison pour avoir enlevé en janvier 1998 ses deux fils, alors âgés de 6 et 7 ans, qui vivaient dans le sud-est de la France avec leur mère.

Ils cultivaient des légumes et allaient les vendre sur un marché de la région, selon le procureur.

Les deux adolescents "sont physiquement en forme mais il est difficile de dire comment ils vont vivre une séparation de 11 ans avec leur mère", qu'ils ont revue dimanche pour la première fois, a déclaré le procureur.
